VIVID

She couldn't sleep. The fresh air of the night and the strong turkish coffee she had an hour ago had woken up instincts in her so strong, so lively and powerful that she could not undo. She went to bed anyway because the strong burn in her stomach didn't allow for standing. Slowly, her body relaxed as the sounds of music from foreign lands, unknown and familiar at the same time, filled the yellow walls of her room. She was finally at peace.

Soon after, she tried to follow the black cat that crossed her bed, a creature so alive that it was hard not to stand up and reach over to touch.. but the cat disappeared in one slow movement, a ghost... was it real? Sure it was. She had seen it go by the window of her room, leaving a shadow in the light that came through that window from a street lamp. Cat?? What? Vivid dreams again - she realized. What do they mean, why does she have them?

Peace again, the sounds of cuban son playing with her head, sweet slow breathing ... water, peace. Fiery, fire, earthquake. Everything is shaking! The room, her bed, her head, the walls, the building falling over to the left.

She opens her eyes and it still is shaking but she knows it's a dream and now believes these are multiple realities. Somewhere the world is shaking, in another place a cat is walking and here someone is seeing, while yet another person is singing. A dream within a dream, this reality. Once more she sleeps to connect with foreign lands, unbound by gravity.
